Description
Detour No2 maps the logic of diversion — a route that leaves the straight path,
loops back on itself, and continues. The bold pink form moves with purpose
across raw canvas: descending, turning, doubling, releasing. Nothing is wasted.
The raw canvas holds the negative space like open terrain, giving the detour
room to exist without apology.
Part of the Detour Series, this piece captures something universal in
infrastructure — the moment a direct line becomes impossible and the path must
find another way. The rounded corners soften what could be rigid, suggesting
that deviation is not failure. It is simply the route the ground required.
