SALES ASSOCIATE + ART CONSULTANT
Job Description
Type: In-house, part-time position
We are hiring a Sales Associate + Art Consultant to join our team! We are looking for someone who is passionate about connecting collectors with pieces they'll love + providing an exceptional gallery experience + has a genuine enthusiasm for all forms of art.
The 'Sales Associate + Art Consultant' duties include (but are not limited to)...
- welcoming + engaging visitors, creating a warm + memorable gallery experience
- consulting with collectors to understand their interests + connecting them with artwork that fits their vision + budget
- building relationships with existing + new collectors through thoughtful follow-up + personalized recommendations
- is a brand ambassador for h squared gallery
- processes payment for purchases using our POS system
- assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, managing correspondence + maintaining inventory records
- assisting with social media posting — sharing exhibition updates, artwork highlights + behind-the-scenes content to engage our online audience
- supporting the installation + presentation of exhibitions as needed
- general gallery duties including cleaning, vacuuming, maintaining the aesthetic of the gallery, etc.
An individual that's a good fit...
- previous experience in sales, retail, or a client-facing role is preferred
- excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- understands the brand aesthetic + voice of h squared gallery
- highly organized with strong attention to detail
- a natural connector who genuinely enjoys building relationships with collectors
- reliable, punctual, dependable
- is a self-starter who displays exceptional work ethic + strives to go beyond 'average'
- has a genuine interest/love for art + art objects
- takes an interest in the long-term success of h squared + is excited to play a part in growth
- comfortable with basic office tools (email, scheduling software, spreadsheets)
Hours of the week...
- We value flexibility — for this role, we are looking for someone who is available to work weekend shifts at the gallery, as well as some weekday availability. Specific scheduling will be discussed with the successful candidate.

SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR + GALLERY ASSISTANT
Job Description

We are hiring a Social Media Coordinator + Gallery Assistant to join our team! We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating content + providing excellent collector experience + loves all forms of art.
The 'Social Media Coordinator' duties include (but are not limited to)...
- liaising with the Owner to develop + execute content ideas + strategies
- creating, editing, scheduling + posting engaging, value-driven photos + videos on social media platforms
- remaining up to date with social media features, capabilities + best practices
- assist in tracking + monitoring social media metrics
The 'Gallery Assistant' duties include (but are not limited to)...
- providing outstanding customer service
- engaging with collectors, sharing knowledge of the art, artists & makers + making recommendations
- is a brand ambassador for h squared gallery
- processes payment for purchases using our POS system
- assists with inventory management, including receiving new pieces, displaying new pieces + updating website accordingly
- packing online orders + pick ups
- alerts management of potential security issues
- general gallery duties including cleaning, vacuuming, maintaining the aesthetic of the gallery, etc.
An individual that's a good fit...
- previous social media experience is preferred but not required
- excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- understands the brand aesthetic + voice of h squared gallery
- able to interpret social media metrics and react accordingly
- is a self-starter who displays exceptional work ethic + strives to go beyond 'average'

- fast learner + adapts to change well

Hours of the week...
- We value flexibility — for this role, we are looking for someone who is available to work Sunday and Monday shifts at the gallery. Additionally we will require the successful candidate to meet with the owner on an as-needed basis during the week. The specific weekdays and hours for these meetings are mostly flexible to suit your schedule.
