At h squared we like to hold three to four group shows a year to show our valued clients something new and exciting. Our group shows aim to showcase new artists, makers and artisans. To date we've held six successful shows shown below - recalibrate, naughty & nice, this or that, from soda to salt, where do we go from here, and one by one.

The annual h squared gallery holiday group show 'beautifully tiny' returned this 2024, celebrating the smaller things in life.
Featuring works from Tara Higgins, Sam Sedlowsky, Jackie Impey, Katy Drijber, Topo Pots, Stemhouse Floral Studio, Lucy Schappy, Leah Petrucci, She Felts Too Much, Nadine Johnson, Juliana Rempel, Chantey Dayal, Angela Morgan, Lori Elling, and Frances Solar.

'family matters' a chantey dayal solo art show
My upcoming solo show is titled 'family matters'. Through the emergent process of these paintings, I am diving into the world of familial relationships. The ways in which each family, no matter how big or small, are a constellation of planets and stars. I am interested in playing with the gestures, the proximity, the commonality, as well as the uniqueness within our webs of family connection. What does it mean to be a cousin, an uncle, or an ancestor? How do we express through our bodies, our closeness and our distance? What and how did my culture inform my experience of the many roles that I play within the family systems that I came from, as well as the ones that I have built?
I'll be exploring these themes using a variety of animals as the main subject of each painting. The message I hope to convey is one of familiarity, paired with a good dose of humour surrounding the many ways we contort ourselves in the face of family dynamics and relationships.
