From the very beginning he looked at ways to use the discarded stone and waste pieces left over in the carving process. He got an idea how to utilize the tremendous amount of material and spent three years to perfect the process now known as cast soapstone. Cast soapstone is simply soapstone and a binding agent. This mix is then cast from molds made of his original designs, the pieces are painted, then coated in resin. The results are unique sculptures unparalleled in beauty, color and durability.  Allan continues to perfect his work and create new pieces working from his home.
