Event: Colour Crush, a solo art exhibition by Jackie Impey

"Colour Crush is an exploration of luscious and bold colours coming together on canvas to create an explosive mix of vibrancy and fun. I like my art to elicit emotion and the use of colour invites the viewer to feel the energy of the painting. Anytime I begin a painting series I  have an instant colour crush. Not unlike a crush on a person it can be a strong and infatuating attraction which keeps the  art dynamic and full of movement. While creating, I get excited to mix the perfect turquoise or discover a subtle and quiet blush pink.  I adore the energy and life a fresh spring green can bring to a canvas.  Yellow might elicit a feeling of joy and happiness.  Paints come as tubes of fun!"
