This piece brings me back to those prairie moments just before a storm arrives, when the clouds sit low and dark in the distance, and the wind moves through the fields. The surface holds shifting patches of light and shadow, where greens, ochres, and muted tones change as the sky thickens overhead. Some subtle marks and gestures feel half-seen, like things you notice out of the corner of your eye as the landscape quietly shifts around you. It’s about that charged stillness before the rain—moody, unsettled, and quietly alive with anticipation.
