Description

This painting feels like a turning point for me. The palette shifted, the marks became more raw and expressive, and the way I moved the paint felt truer to who I am. Inspired by the wide-open prairies at the end of a dry season, after harvest, when the earth slows down, the ochres, pinks, and muted yellows echo both the land and the sky. It holds that expansive, spacious feeling of standing in the middle of it all, where everything is quiet, open, and ready for whatever comes next.
