Nadine Johnson's Where My Memories Live solo painting exhibition of abstract landscape artwork

Nadine Johnson solo exhibition - "Where My Memories Live" - Opens Saturday, February 14th, 2026, 4-7 pm, with Nadine in attendance.

'Where My Memories Live', by Nadine Johnson, is a body of work rooted in memory, place, and connection. Each painting is like a snapshot of moments I hold dear, places I’ve lived, or landscapes I’ve traveled through. These memories don’t arrive as full stories. They surface through color, a mark, a piece of ephemera, or a familiar shape that quietly stirs something in me, often before I fully understand why.  My process is layered and intuitive, much like memory itself. Paint is added, scraped back, covered, and revealed again over time. Some details are intentional, while others emerge naturally through the act of making, but all carry meaning. The nostalgia in this work isn’t about recreating a specific moment or place; it’s about honoring the feeling of it and allowing it to remain present.  These paintings are my way of sharing what matters to me: artifacts of my life shaped by the memories I hold dear. Where My Memories Live will be on display until March 11th, 2026.
